I led the complete website refresh for Nano One Materials, a Canadian clean technology company developing next-generation battery materials. This project involved more than just new content—it was a strategic overhaul designed to improve clarity, engagement, and brand consistency.
Highlights of my contribution:
User-Centric Strategy: Conducted a full analysis of the original site’s structure, messaging, and user behaviour to identify friction points and drop-offs.
Visual Identity Framework: Helped establish visual identity blocks and structural layouts to guide consistency across pages, reflecting Nano One’s innovation-driven brand.
Engagement Optimization: Refined the user flow to create a more intuitive and “sticky” experience that encourages deeper exploration of the company’s story and value propositions.
Content & Messaging: Wrote and edited all copy in alignment with commercialization goals, technical accuracy, and audience clarity—from homepage headlines to deep-tech process pages.
Project Management: Coordinated with internal stakeholders and an external agency from concept to launch, ensuring brand, tech, and investor needs were aligned.
The result is a dynamic, user-friendly site that strengthens Nano One’s visual identity, clearly communicates its unique value proposition in the battery materials space, and is built in a future-proof, scalable manner—easy for other digitally savvy team members to manage and update as the company grows.
